Local Marketing Firm Making an Impact on Future Marketing Professionals

AUSTIN, Texas, January 13, 2014 – Christa Kleinhans Tuttle, President of Launch Marketing, recently served as a guest lecturer and project mentor at Southwestern University, a nationally recognized undergraduate liberal arts college with an enrollment of 1,500 students. Christa partnered with Dr. Debika Sihi, Assistant Professor of the Strategic Marketing Problems course, to develop a semester long project for undergraduate students to create an integrated marketing strategy for a real world client.

Instead of relying on a textbook, the hands-on assignment focused on having students work through a current marketing challenge faced by a local firm, so that they could tackle an issue they might actually face in their career. Professor Sihi said, “Christa presented the students a business project simulated from actual client work. Through this project, the students gained experience collecting primary and secondary data and developing a feasible, yet creative, marketing plan.”
